¿A dónde vas, blogosfera?

2004-05-08 01:00 Recientemente, ha habido dos adiciones importantes a la blogosfera: los los blogs de Ya.com (via eCuaderno, por ejemplo) y Typepad España (via barrapunto, blogalia y linotipo). La primera es gratuita, la segunda de pago, pero ambas dos vienen a añadirse a otros sitios de alojamiento de bitácoras tales como Blogia o Zonalibre.
¿Qué pasará ahora?
Una buena pregunta.
Pero no creo que nadie tenga la respuesta. Ni siquiera las respuestas. A pesar de eso, voy a dar algunas respuestas posibles.
  • Nada: todos seguiremos igual. Cuando se crea un sitio nuevo de alojamiento de bitácoras, suele haber un pico fuerte de creación de nuevas bitácoras, que en algunos casos, quizás no en todos, se abandonan. A veces las bitácoras se cambian de sitio, simplemente.
  • Crecimiento gradual del número de bitácoras activas, y surgimiento de nuevos gurus: la blogosfera es un firmamento compuesto de muchas estrellas, grupos de gente cuyo núcleo suelen ser una o dos bitácoras; dentro de ese grupo hay una interacción fuerte (en términos de comentarios y enlaces), pero la interacción con las bitácoras de fuera es mucho más débil. Incluso así, muchos grupos creados y muchas interacciones débiles constituyen, si no una interacción fuerte, sí un mundo pequeño: aunque los nuevos grupos de bitácoras nacerán aislados, poco a poco se irán integrando en la blogosfera hispana, con lo cual habrá un crecimiento no solo del número de bitácoras, sino también de visitas, comentarios, en laces... lo que ocurre es que no habrá ningún tipo de explosión, me temo
  • Como no hay dos sin tres, ahí va la tercera: explosión masiva: todos los portales se apuntan al bitacoreo, bitacorear se hace tan imprescindible como el IRC o la mensajería, y se añaden cada mes mil bitácoras nuevas al blogómetro (con lo cual, claro, habrá que pensar en algo para que no reviente). Los medios empiezan a incluir al lado de la sección de internet una sección de bitácoras, los medios dedicados a informática aumentan el número de páginas... y, finalmente, una o dos personas de toda la blogosfera pueden vivir de eso.
La verdad es que la que yo encuentro más plausible es la primera, o quizás la segunda, pero tan leve, que casi no se notará. Pero igual es que yo soy un pesimista. U optimista, que nunca se sabe.
